Hi! I’m Noortje
Home In Nature
Nature and environmental issues have always been part of my DNA. My best memories lie in being outside: digging in the sand until we reached the water, building huts in the bushes behind our house, making itchy powder bombs from leaves and rose buds by trial and error, going on adventures by bike through the neighbourhood and feeling free.
Interconnected Planetary
Combine this with a deep curiosity about people, their habits, and the structures and systems they create, and you have the ingredients for a professional journey that's taken me across continents, through various roles, meeting the most amazing people along the way.
I once captured my vision in the phrase: Interconnected Planetary – the understanding that we're all part of one living, breathing system, where the health of one depends on the health of all.
Regeneration and Rewilding
In my work this is reflected through regeneration and rewilding – not just nature and our landscapes, but also our organisations and ourselves.
It's about returning to more natural, life-giving ways of being and working together. And at the heart of it all is kindness, to each other, to ourselves, and to the living world we're part of.
Regenerative Practice
In my professional work, this comes to life through the way I develop and facilitate trainings, team building, and organisational development. Regenerative practices – where all beings involved are considered and can thrive – are both my process and my goal.
I want people to leave my work feeling empowered, knowing that what they do matters and that there are innovative, creative alternatives to choose. Nature connection is interwoven in my work and you will find me playing and exploring outside where I can.
"What would nature do?"
In my private life, I walk the talk: I'm involved in a pioneering regenerative food forest project, I've initiated outdoor playgroups for adults and school children, and when I need guidance, I ask myself: "What would nature do?"
An important note:
We shouldn't forget to enjoy life and nature around us, and have fun along the way.
Together, we can build the Re:generation: wilder, kinder, more alive.
Will you join me?
